Everglades Day Victory

by | March 8, 2012 | Events, News and Media

Congratulations to all of my EVCO colleagues who worked to make this vision a priority. Late yesterday, the state legislature passed the bill designating Everglades Day as April 7th, the birthday of Marjory Stoneman Douglas, every year. All of you made this a legislative priority for the Everglades Coalition and by working together we made it happen!

We have every expectation that Governor Scott will sign the bill and I look forward to having another opportunity to elevate Everglades issues and educate our lawmakers together on the importance of Everglades restoration together.
